They are seeking a Valuations Associate Director with a specific focus on legal disputes to join one of their New Zealand offices. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in financial valuation and your in-depth knowledge of legal disputes to provide critical support and insights to clients.
**1. Legal Dispute Valuations**:
– Lead and manage complex financial valuations related to legal disputes, including litigation support and expert witness testimony.
– Conduct in-depth research and analysis to assess the financial implications of legal claims and disputes.
**2. Client Consultation**:
– Collaborate closely with legal teams and clients to understand the intricacies of each dispute and provide expert guidance.
– Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and comprehensible manner.
**3. Quality Assurance**:
– Ensure that valuations are conducted in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality control procedures.
– Review and critique valuation reports and models.
**4. Business Development**:
– Play a pivotal role in business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand our legal disputes valuation practice.
– Build and maintain client relationships through exceptional service and value delivery.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
– A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial valuation, with a substantial focus on legal dispute valuations.
– A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (CFA, ASA, or equivalent) is preferred.
– In-depth knowledge of the legal framework surrounding financial disputes.
– Strong analytical and research skills, with proficiency in valuation modeling and financial analysis tools.
– Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex financial concepts to a non-technical audience.
– Proven experience in managing teams and projects.
