About the Role:
This exciting role has opened due to the firm’s growth and strategic succession planning. Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s insolvency and restructuring practice forward in the Caribbean market. You will be responsible for:
– Leading and taking appointments in complex insolvency and restructuring engagements.
– Growing and mentoring a team of direct reports, ensuring high standards and development.
– Spotting market opportunities and taking the initiative to expand the business.
– Managing multi-jurisdictional cases with a focus on contentious and cross-border matters.
– Taking a hands-on approach in court-driven insolvency processes, with significant motion practice.
Key Responsibilities:
– Serving as the right-hand to the Director, with the potential for succession into the lead role.
– Taking on and leading high-stakes insolvency cases, often with an international scope.
– Driving business growth through client development, market analysis, and networking.
– Overseeing a team and fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will bring:
– Significant experience in insolvency and restructuring, ideally with a focus on cross-border engagements.
– A strong entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to spot and develop business opportunities.
– At least 6 years’ experience in insolvency in a practice environment, with experience leading teams and engagements.
– Experience of working cross border offshore appointments
– JIEB qualification (or equivalent) is preferred
