Financial Accountant/Controller, Insurance – 8 month contract, Remote working
Do you enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment? You have experience of financial accounting within the Insurance sector and would like to join an entrepreneurial firm. With this role you get to ”try before you buy”. They are offering an 8 months plus contract, with the ability potentially extend or go permanent in a very exciting time within the businesses growth.
Join this European Group, with an offshore office and liaise across the group to develop and maintain finance operations, deliver financial reporting and support reinsurance financial operations.
- Have flexibility of being able to work remotely from the UK or Europe
- Enjoy working for a fast business, entrepreneurial business
- Hands on role, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer
- Build networks across the European and Offshore group offices
- Produce financial and management information and analysis for Senior Management
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis including budgets, cash flow, etc
- Facilitate the onboarding of new reinsurance transactions
- Be the main contact for internal and external auditors
- Occasional travel, when travel is open and safe to do so
- 8 months contract with the ability to gain a permanent role in this exciting company
Requirements
- Qualified accountant – CA/ACA/ACCA/CPA etc
- Experience working within a life reinsurance organisation
- Experience of producing financial reports and analysis
- Strong understanding and working experience of IFRS
- Experience working with SAP preferred
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and thrive under change
- Excellent English communication skills
