The External Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing external audit engagements within the asset management industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities:
- Leads and manages external audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of asset management clients.
- Plans, executes, and supervises audit fieldwork in accordance with established methodologies and standards.
- Reviews financial statements, audit workpapers, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Identifies and communicates audit findings, risks, and recommendations to asset management clients and senior management.
- Develops and maintains effective client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing value-added insights within the asset management sector.
- Mentors and coaches audit staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Stays abreast of regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices in auditing within the asset management industry.
Qualifications:
- Internatioanlly recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, and SAICA
- Minimum of 5 years of external audit experience within the asset management industry
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and financial reporting requirements specific to asset management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
