A Caribbean lifestyle worth relocating for There is something special about living somewhere that other people dream of visiting.

But life here offers far more than beautiful scenery. You will discover a welcoming island community, a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant social scene. From beachside restaurants and local festivals to outdoor adventures and relaxed evenings with friends, there is always something to enjoy. You can build a fulfilling professional career while making time for the things that matter outside work, and with a firm that values sensible working hours, you will actually have the opportunity to enjoy your surroundings. The firm is big enough to offer opportunity, small enough to know your name Our client is an established, independently minded, mid-tier accounting firm with a strong reputation in its local business community. The firm works with an interesting mix of commercial enterprises and international businesses, giving its accountants exposure to a broad range of industries rather than a narrow specialism. What makes this opportunity particularly appealing is the working environment. You will be joining a friendly, collaborative team where the partners are approachable, your opinions are valued and there is no unnecessary corporate bureaucracy. There is a genuine emphasis on trust and personal responsibility rather than micromanagement. The firm also encourages colleagues to get to know one another through social activities, team events and shared experiences outside the office. As the practice continues to develop, there is scope for ambitious accountants to build a long-term career, with opportunities to progress into management and potentially broaden their experience into advisory work. The role:Take the lead, develop others and build your future As an Audit Supervisor, you will be moving beyond simply delivering your own audit assignments. You will take greater ownership of engagements, review the work of junior colleagues, provide coaching and guidance, and become an important point of contact for clients and senior management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Reviewing audit working papers and financial statements, ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior accountants as they develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships and ensuring engagements run efficiently.
  • Working across a varied portfolio, including hospitality, tourism, manufacturing, insurance and other commercial businesses.
  • Applying International Financial Reporting Standards, including the standards for small and medium-sized entities.
  • Working closely with managers and partners, gaining valuable exposure to the commercial side of running a successful practice.

This is an opportunity to develop the leadership skills that will prepare you for the next stage of your career. Who would thrive here? We are particularly interested in hearing from qualified accountants who have developed their careers in small or medium-sized audit practices and enjoy working with a variety of commercial clients. You will ideally bring:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or an equivalent.
  • At least four years of external audit experience, ideally five or more.
  • Experience supervising engagements, reviewing audit files and supporting junior team members.

  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to contribute to a close-knit team.
  • A friendly, adaptable personality and a genuine interest in embracing life in the Caribbean.

You do not need to come from a large international accounting firm. In fact, experience in a smaller practice, where you have developed broad technical skills and taken ownership of your work, could be particularly valuable. The rewards – more than just a salary starting salary from USD $44,000, together with a relocation and benefits package. Based on the package previously offered for this opportunity, benefits may include:

  • Economy airfare to relocate to the Caribbean.
  • Initial accommodation and car hire to help you settle in.
  • Assistance with finding longer-term accommodation.
  • Employer-supported work permit arrangements.

You will work alongside your colleagues and clients in person, building genuine professional relationships and becoming part of the local business community.
