Are you an ambitious Audit Senior looking to accelerate your career without sacrificing your work-life balance?
Our client, a globally recognised professional services firm in Bermuda, is seeking an Audit Senior to join its growing Assurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to an impressive international client base while enjoying one of the world’s most desirable island lifestyles.
Unlike many firms, this organisation has built a culture around delivering exceptional client service while maintaining a sustainable approach to work. Busy season is carefully managed, with working hours typically not exceeding 55 hours per week, allowing you to enjoy everything Bermuda has to offer outside the office.
The Opportunity
Working alongside experienced Partners and Directors, you’ll take ownership of audit engagements from planning through to completion, leading teams and developing strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
One of the unique aspects of this firm is its open-door culture, providing direct access to Partners on a daily basis. You’ll benefit from regular coaching, mentoring and exposure to senior leadership, helping accelerate both your technical and professional development.
The firm has a particularly strong reputation within the Financial Services sector, with a significant client portfolio including:
- Insurance and Reinsurance companies
- Captive Insurance organisations
- Asset Management firms
- Investment Funds
- Wealth Management businesses
While Financial Services audit experience is advantageous, it is by no means essential. Candidates with strong external audit experience across other industries who are eager to develop within Financial Services are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
- Supervise, coach and develop junior members of the audit team.
- Prepare and review audit documentation in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
- Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact throughout engagements.
- Identify audit risks and develop practical, commercial solutions.
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Partners and Managers throughout engagements.
- Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
What We’re Looking For
- ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- External audit experience gained within a professional services environment.
- Experience leading audit engagements and supervising staff.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
- Financial Services experience is beneficial but not required.
