The Opportunity As an Audit Manager, you will lead audits for a wide range of not-for-profit and social housing organisations, from fast-growing charities to long-established, nationally recognised institutions. Although Social Housing is a core focus, you will have the freedom to shape your own portfolio and develop additional sector interests over time, supported by experienced partners and a well-established technical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead external audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring quality, budget, and deadlines are met
  • Act as a trusted adviser and main point of contact for clients throughout the year
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with boards, audit committees, and senior management
  • Develop, coach, and support audit teams at varying levels
  • Contribute to business development, proposals, and client presentations
  • Support the delivery of wider assurance services where appropriate

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Currently operating at Audit Manager level within external audit
  • Strong technical audit and accounting knowledge
  • Confident managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple engagements

Previous experience in the non-profit, charity, or social housing sectors is advantageous but not essential.
