This internationally recognised consultancy is currently looking for an Audit Assistant Manager, fluent in French to assist their existing team through the daily tasks.

Your will be leading both virtual and in-person meetings, coordinating and leading audit teams, and writing audit reports.

You will represent the company in person, using your French and English language skills, to communicate with various stakeholders, including international development agencies and partners and as most of the role will sit within the charity sector, a background in NGO’s or charities would be preferred.

Traveling internationally will be a requirement for this position. You will also be responsible for conducting remote audits, managing teams both on-site and virtually, and acquiring an in-depth understanding of the development sector and the activities of international donors.

You will be expected to prepare a tailored plan for all assignments based on a good understanding of the terms of reference and the applicable contractual conditions. You will lead opening meetings with auditees and present the audit findings clearly and credibly at closing meetings, both virtually and on-site. Depending on the assignment, you may lead audit teams, including local country-based staff, on overseas assignments acting as the client focal point and taking on management tasks.

You will demonstrate the ability to identify issues and areas of non-compliance on an assignment and write them up as findings in a detailed, precise, and clear way in the assignment report. You will also be able to work to tight deadlines and manage your time effectively.

The ideal applicant will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / DEC or equivalent)
  • Excellent English and French language capabilities as well as a genuine interest in international development and this sector.
  • A proven track record in audit and assurance work, and a love of international travel. The travel can include, but not be limited to, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
