I am seeking a skilled and experienced Portuguese-speaking Audit Senior to join the team of one of our brilliant accountancy firm clients in the United Kingdom.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the Portuguese-speaking clients, as well as providing them with excellent service. You will also be required to liaise within the teams to ensure that the clients’ needs are being met and that their expectations are exceeded. You should be a highly motivated individual as you will be a key contributor in the forefront of the department’s work. The role will require frequent travel to meetings, audit teams, and writing audit reports, representing the company in front of multiple stakeholders. As a native Portuguese speaker, you will be an integral part of the Portuguese department, contributing to the success and development of auditees and colleagues alike.
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for preparing tailored plans for all assignments, leading opening and closing meetings with auditees, and writing detailed and precise findings in the assignment report. Additionally, you will lead assignment fieldwork teams, act as the focal point for larger country-wide teams, and manage time effectively to work to tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an audit background, as well as strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English. You should also be a proactive and results-driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a genuine interest in international development, a love of international travel with experience working or volunteering abroad, and excellent communication skills. You should also hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or be in the process of obtaining a diploma.
